CETEARYL ALCOHOL

Extraction: mixture of cetyl and stearic alcohols that are produced naturally in plants.

Benefits: these alcohols have the ability to prevent emulsions from separating between their oily and watery parts. These ingredients are also used to alter the thickness of liquid products, to increase foam capacity or to stabilize them.

SODIUM LAUROYL GLUTAMATE

Sourcing: Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is very mild surfactant based on L-glutamic acid, a naturally occurring amino acid. Derived from coconut oil and palm oil.

Benefits:  It is a mild cleanser with high foaming and cleansing power. Leaves skin soft and smooth and is well tolerated by sensitive and allergic skin.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. It also prevents the accumulation of fat and improves the appearance of hair. Vegetable glycerin can be used as a diluent and as an alcohol substitute when preparing herbal extracts.

SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE

Sourcing: it is a mild anionic surfactant without sulphates. It is obtained from the fatty acids of coconut oil.

Benefits: This surfactant has a very good foaming power forming a creamy lather. It has a conditioning effect on skin and hair providing a soft feel.

COCO GLUCOSIDE

Extraction: non-ionic surfactant and co-surfactant of vegetable origin, biodegradable and very suitable for use in shampoos and shower gels. It is obtained from renewable raw materials such as coconut oil and the sugar found in fruits.

Benefits: it reduces the potential for irritation caused by surfactants and improves hair styling, in addition to softening it.

GLYCERYL STEARATE

Extraction: this ingredient is derived from glycerin and stearic acid, a fatty acid obtained from vegetable oils. It is found naturally in the human body so it will not damage skin.

Benefits: acts as a lubricant on the skin’s surface to give it a soft, smooth and light appearance. It also slows down water loss by forming a protective barrier and protects skin against the damage caused by free radicals. Furthermore, in terms of formulation, it helps to stabilize oil-water emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances present.

COCOA BUTTER

Sourcing: Cocoa butter is obtained from the first cold pressing of the semilals of the fruit of Theobroma Cacao, a tropical tree native to the rainforests of the Amazon and some other river basins now cultivated in West Africa and tropical Asia. 

Benefits: Cocoa butter contains fatty acids such as palmitic, stearic and oleic. It has emollient, nourishing and repairing properties. It is also an antioxidant thanks to the vitamin E it contains, restores skin tone and elasticity and is responsible for protecting the skin from external aggressions.

STEARIC ACID

Extraction: it is a natural emulsifiable obtained from glycerin and stearic acid.

Benefits: it is used in oily external fase cream formulations and allows to properly emulsify the physical filters in sunscreens.

BETAINA

Sourcing : Derived from sugar beet roots.

Benefits: It is a mild surfactant. Provides immediate and long-term hydration and moisturising. Manages the skin's water balance and strengthens the skin barrier. Protects the skin barrier from surfactants.

MEADOWFOAM OIL

Extraction: the Limnanthes Alba is a species of plant of the Meadowfoam family, originally from California and Oregon, where it grows in moist, grassy habitats.

Benefits: it has impressive moisturising and rejuvenating properties. It is a great ally in the fight against the loss of hydration, helping to create a barrier that prevents the loss of water and facilitates the entry of nutrients into the deeper layers of the skin.

WATER

Extraction:  water is an element present in most cosmetic products and is the most important raw material. In the cosmetics industry, purified water is used in a process to eliminate any solid particle that may contain water in order to achieve a higher degree of purity and quality.

Benefits: water helps to cleanse the body. Hydrates and improves the effect of other active ingredients, provides softness and delays premature aging of the skin.

SUNFLOWER SEED OIL

Extraction: sunflower oil is obtained from Helianthus Annus sunflower seeds.

Benefits: rich in omega-6 and vitamin E, sunflower seed oil is used in the cosmetics industry as skin repairing agent. Prevents skin dehydration and has soothing, nourishing and antibacterial properties. It is perfect for treating all skin types including: dry, normal, oily and acne prone skin.

CUPUAÇU BUTTER

Obtainment: cupuaçu butter is obtained by cold-pressing the seeds of cupuaçu fruits (Theobroma grandiflorum), a tropical tree native to the Amazon rainforest that belongs to the same family as cocoa.

Benefits: this butter has a nutritional power 1.5 times superior to shea butter, it is emollient, moisturising, and absorbs water easily. It has a composition rich in unsaturated fatty acids, plant polyphenols and sterols that provide protection and hydration. It is also rich in B vitamins and vitamin C.

ALPHA-GLUCAN OLIGOSACCHARIDE

Extraction: this oligosaccharide formed by glucose units is obtained from the natural sugars sucrose and maltose.

Benefits: this type of oligosaccharides promotes healthy oral microbiota by preventing the accumulation of foreign or harmful bacteria that cause bad breath, cavities or tartar buildup. It can also act as an emollient and helps increase water retention.

GLYCERYL OLEATE

Extraction: natural monoester derived from glycerol and oleic acid. Creates water-oil emulsions where water is the most abundant compound, but it can also be used as a co-emulsifier and thickener for formulations where the composition is mostly oil.

Benefits: it is used as an emulsifier and non-ionic co-surfactant in various skin and hair care products. Leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.

SOYBEAN OIL

Extraction: it is obtained directly from the seeds of soybeans, a legume rich in proteins with great energetic and nutritional value. This oil high in vitamins (A, B6, B12 and K), calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Benefits: it is high in antioxidants and has moisturizing and firming properties. It also works to stimulate cell regeneration and sometimes works as a surfactant. It easily penetrates deep into skin to stimulate the synthesis of collagen, elastin and other proteins that help keep skin firm.

LAVENDER

Sourcing: Aqueous solution obtained from the distillate of lavender flowers.

Benefits: It has antiseptic and soothing properties, is beneficial in problems related to blood circulation in the capillaries and stimulates the natural processes of healing and de-inflammation of the skin affected by burns, itching, ulcers, wounds, allergies and dermatosis. It acts on hair loss, keeping the scalp in good condition and strengthening the hair follicle.

VITAMIN E

Extraction: tocopherol or vitamin E, is naturally found in vegetable fats and oils, cereals, nuts and green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics for its antioxidant properties and also acts as a skin conditioning agent. Reduces the appearance of stretch marks, helps improve skin tone, moisturizes and helps keep skin firm. For hair care, Holy Basil helps improve the blood circulation in the scalp which stimulates hair growth and helps to condition hair and provide shine.

BETA-SITOSTEROL

Extraction: fatty acid from vegetable origin. Beta-Sitosterol is naturally produced in many fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. It is similar to cholesterol, which occurs naturally in the skin and is considered part of the intercellular matrix of the skin.

Benefits: it provides a lot of hydration and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.

CITRIC ACID

Extraction: citric acid is a weak organic acid found in fruits such as lemons and oranges. Lemon juice contains approximately 5-8% citric acid.

Benefits: citric acid and its salts: Diammonium, Potassium and Sodium help to preserve cosmetics since they are metal chelating agents. Citric acid and its salts are also added to cosmetics to help regulate the acid / base levels. Functions as a powerful antioxidant and helps to regulate and maintain skin’s hydration and elasticity.

GLUCOSE

Extraction: it is a natural polysaccharide that is obtained from different plant species.

Benefits: this polysaccharide acts as a prebiotic in the formulation of the deodorant. It prevents body odour causing bacteria (Staphylococcus epidirmidis and Corynebacterium xerosis) from adhering to the skin and spreading around the armpit.

GINKGO BILOBA Eco

Extraction: Ginkgo is a unique, old species of tree which resistant to the adverse changes in climate. The Ginkgo biloba species is one of the best known examples of living fossils. Its extract is obtained from the leaves which are rich in flavonoids. It has been used for millennia in traditional Chinese medicine to stimulate central and peripheral blood circulation.

Benefits: its high concentration of flavonoids and terpenes makes it a valuable ingredient for reducing skin inflammation and combating the oxidative stress caused by free radicals. It helps increase blood circulation and prevents hair loss.

ALGA NORI

Sourcing: Extract from nori seaweed, a species of red seaweed cultivated in Asia for culinary purposes.

Benefits: It is a natural source of minerals (Ca, I, Fe, K, Mg) and trace elements, as well as essential amino acids, vitamins (A, B and C) and fibre. It contains a high biotin content, one of the vitamins that contributes most to hair growth, as it helps to keep hair strong, healthy and in constant development and growth. Biotin promotes the growth of rapidly reproducing tissues, providing more elasticity and less hair breakage.

SQUALENE

Extraction: it is the hydrogenated version of squalene. It is an aliphatic triterpene extracted from rice bran, wheat germ and green olives. It has a 100% natural origin.

Benefits: it is a natural component of the skin and a good emollient and sebum restorer. It is used in regenerative treatments for dry skin. It has antioxidant properties and stimulates the immune system.

GREEN TEA

Extraction: the leaves and buds of Camellia Sinensis are used to make green tea. This plant comes from Southeast Asia and southern China, but is now widespread and cultivated worldwide. It is part of the herbs of traditional Chinese medicine.

Benefits: it has important antioxidant benefits, thanks to its content in polyphenols. It fights free radicals induced by UV rays, has an anti-inflammatory action and inhibits the action of collagenase, maintaining the tone and elasticity of the skin.

AVENA

Sourcing: Oats are a very nutritious cereal rich in vitamins and minerals with dermocosmetic qualities.

Benefits: Powerful cleansing action, absorbs all the dirt and residues that accumulate in the pores. It takes care of the skin structure in a natural way and maintains its pH thanks to the proteins it contains. In addition, thanks to the lipids and water-absorbing substances it contains, it is excellent for preventing skin dehydration as it protects it from external aggressions while maintaining its protective barrier. It also promotes wound healing and is said to have soothing, anti-inflammatory, emollient and moisturising properties. 

PEPPER EXTRACT

Sourcing: Extract obtained from red pepper. It is used to give colour or as a pigment in cosmetics.

Benefits: Contains multiple vitamins and minerals. It has astringent properties and is a great healing agent.

CARROT

Extraction: carrot is a vegetable from the Apiaceae family. It contains carotenoids and vitamin B6, and it is used in food, both raw and cooked, thanks to its good nutritional profile, and its content of vitamins and minerals.

Benefits: its high content in carotenoids and vitamin C acts as a photo-protective shield. Combats and prevents oxidative stress caused by blue light, either natural or produced by electronic devices with screens. it revitalises and improves general skin tone.

ESSENTIAL CARROT OIL

Extraction: carrot is a vegetable from the Apiaceae family. It contains carotenoids and vitamin B6, and it is used in food, both raw and cooked, thanks to its good nutritional profile, and its content of vitamins and minerals.

Benefits: carrot essential oil has astringent and antiseptic properties. It contains flavonoids beneficial to the skin, such as isoflavonoids. Applied on skin, it has outstanding emolliency, revitalising and curative effects, useful for the treatment of eczema or psoriasis.

BETA-CAROTENE

Extraction: this compound form part of the plant's protection mechanism. Carotenoids, such as beta-carotene absorb blue light and also protect against oxidative stress.

Benefits: the protective mechanism of plants is also applied to skin cells. In this way, this ingredient efficiently absorbs the blue light and neutralise oxidation.

RUBY RED

Obtainment: It is extracted from the root of the Alkanna Tinctoria (commonly known as a dyer's alkanet), native to the Mediterranean basin.

Benefits: This extract is used as a vegan alternative to synthetic pigments or animal pigments.

HYDROGENATED PALM GLYCERIDES CITRATE

Extraction: oily liquid derived from vegetable oils and citric acid.

Benefits: it is used as an antioxidant, emollient and skin conditioner.

ASCORBYL PALMITATE

Extraction: the fat-soluble form of vitamin C. It is an ester formed by ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and palmitic acid. It is a fatty acid obtained from vegetable fats and oils.

Benefits: it has excellent antioxidant and free radical eliminating properties which work to protect the skin from oxidative processes. It is used to slow down skin aging processes since it promotes the synthesis of collagen and ceramides in the skin.

GERANIOL

Extraction: It is a monoterpene that is found in natural essential oils. It is found naturally in plants such as geranium and lemon.

Benefits: it is widely used as an ingredient of fragrances due to its rose-like scent. It is also used in many products to generate grapefruit, plum, pineapple, peach, lemon and cranberry scents.

LINALOOL

Extraction: monoterpene with floral aroma and a touch of menthol. This natural fragrance, is sweet and smooth. It is produced by a wide variety of plants such as mint, cinnamon, citrus fruits and birch trees.

Benefits: widely used to make fragrances and flavors. It is a main component of many essential oils.
