Extraction: Naturally obtained mineral made out of aluminum oxide.

Benefits: It is used in cosmetics as a thickening and texturizing agent. Contrary to aluminum sulfate used as an antiperspirant in deodorants and categorized as a hormonal disruptor, alumina has been proven totally safe for its use in natural cosmetics.
