Sourcing: These are small shiny scales compound by silica particles which when combined with different oxide compounds change to the desired colour. 

Benefits: These are used in makeup to bring sparkle and colour. In addition to their sparkling properties, the two borosilicates are a good thickening agent that help to achieve the desired consistency.
