Heptylglycerin

INCI
HEPTYLGLYCERIN

Obtaining: Heptylglycerin is obtained from the combination of plant-derived glycerin with a seven-carbon lipid chain (heptyl). This union creates an ""amphiphilic"" molecule (with affinity for both water and oils), which is very useful for integrating homogeneously into emulsions and aqueous formulas.

Benefits:  It provides a conditioning and softening effect, enhancing the feeling of comfort on the skin. Additionally, it helps to reinforce the formula's protection against microorganisms, acting as a support for the preservative system and contributing to keeping the product in good condition. It is particularly interesting in cleansing and moisturizing cosmetics due to its good balance between sensorial and functionality.
