MELATONIN

Source: melatonin is a molecule naturally present in both plants and animals. The one used in cosmetics can be obtained synthetically or be of botanical origin, for example from grapes (Vitis vinifera).


Benefits: it is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralise the free radicals (ROS) generated by oxidative stress, protecting cells against premature ageing. As it is linked to the body's biological rhythms, it is also associated with the skin's repair and renewal processes that take place overnight.
