BENZYL SALICYLATE

INCI
Benzyl Salicylate

Obtaining:
It is an ester obtained by the reaction between benzyl alcohol and salicylic acid (or a salicylic derivative) through an esterification process. In cosmetics, it is commonly used as a fragrance ingredient, either as an added substance or naturally present in some essential oils and aromatic extracts.

Benefits:
It is mainly used as a perfuming and fixing component: it provides a floral, sweet, and slightly balsamic note and helps to stabilise and prolong the scent in the formula.
