CHAYOTE EXTRACT

Obtaining:  

It is an extract obtained from the fruit of Sechium edule (chayote), originally from Réunion Island, usually through aqueous and/or hydro-glycolic extraction (water, glycerine, propanediol, etc.), followed by filtration and standardisation according to the supplier to ensure a consistent profile and good incorporation into formulas.

Benefits:  

It helps in the cellular repair of skin exposed to solar radiation by expressing DNA repair enzymes. It is also mainly used as a skin conditioning ingredient: it provides a light hydration sensation, helps to leave the skin softer and looking fresher, and fits well in botanically inspired formulas aimed at soothing and enhancing skin well-being.
