Acacia Senegal Gum

Extraction: Acacia Senegal is a tree originally from sub-Saharan Africa, Pakistan and India. It produces a gum known as gum arabic, widely used in food as a texturiser, or in medicine and pharmacy for intestinal and skin inflammation treatments.

Benefits: in cosmetics, acacia gum is used as a thickener because of its texture, which forms a gel in contact with water and a film in contact with air.
