IRISH MOSS

Extraction: Hydrocolloid compound mainly made of galactans extracted from red algae. These algae grow along the rocky parts of the Atlantic Coast of Europe. In their habitat, these algae are soft and made of cartilage.

Benefits: It has an immediate tightening effect, reduces skin relief and has an immediate and long-lasting moisturising effect thanks to the fact that galactans can retain water and maintain an optimal osmotic value in both algae and skin. In addition, the film-forming effect of these constitutes a shield against dehydration. Galactans have anti-pollution activity by exerting a film-forming effect that forms a physical defense shield against pollutants. They also protect against inflammation and they have antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity.
