Anti-aging facial serum

WATER

Extraction:  water is an element present in most cosmetic products and is the most important raw material. In the cosmetics industry, purified water is used in a process to eliminate any solid particle that may contain water in order to achieve a higher degree of purity and quality.

Benefits: water helps to cleanse the body. Hydrates and improves the effect of other active ingredients, provides softness and delays premature aging of the skin.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. It also prevents the accumulation of fat and improves the appearance of hair. Vegetable glycerin can be used as a diluent and as an alcohol substitute when preparing herbal extracts.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL

Extraction: natural pentylene glycol is obtained from renewable plant-based sources such as sugar cane or maize.

Benefits: commonly used in moisturising creams and lotions for its hydrating properties, which help retain moisture in the skin. It also has antibacterial and preservative effects, helping other active ingredients act better on the skin.

GLYCERYL OLEATE CITRATE

Extraction: is a biological compound consisting of citric acid and vegetable oils. +

Benefits: this fatty acid monoglyceride is used as an emulsifier and stabiliser for water and oil emulsions. It also contributes to the even distribution of the product during use.

HEMISQUALANE

Extraction: it's obtained from sugar cane, a minority fraction rich in hemisqualane is extracted from the fermentation process of sugar for food use. It is an alternative to petrochemical hydrocarbons and also has better sensory characteristics. 

Benefits: improves spreadability, application and sensoriality of products without clogging the skin.

XYLITYLGLUCOSIDE

Sourcing: natural origin, obtained by fermentation of vegetable sugars.

Benefits: In cosmetics it is used as a moisturiser and skin conditioning agent. It preserves the water retention properties of facial skin, helping it to maintain hydration.

BAKUCHIOL

Sourcing: vegan active ingredient, obtained from Babchi seeds.

Benefits: wonderful results as a well-ageing ingredient. It is the non-irritating, non-photosensitising, vegan alternative to retinol. It gives the skin smoothness, elasticity, radiance, reduces wrinkles and evens out the skin tone. It is also a very suitable ingredient for acne-prone skin, as it has seboregulating and anti-inflammatory properties.

COCO-CAPRYLATE / CAPRATE

Extraction: a vegetable ingredient obtained from coconut.

Benefits: presents a high level of biocompatibility with skin and therefore has the ability to penetrate deep and help skin to repair itself. It acts as an emollient and provides skin with incredible softness.

PROPANEDIOL

Extraction: 100% natural ingredient obtained from sugarcane and approved by Ecocert. It is biodegradable, making it the perfect natural alternative to petroleum glycols.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics as a moisturizing agent, solvent and emollient. Its sensory properties help reduce skin irritations. They also control viscosity.

HEPTYL UNDECYLENATE

Sourcing: 100% vegetable origin, and is derived from castor oil.

Benefits: A light, dry emollient that gives the skin a silky finish, helping its spreadability on the skin.

ANHYDROXYLITOL

Sourcing: Derived from the fermentation of sugar cane, natural origin. 

Benefits: Helps the skin to preserve natural moisture reserves, reducing water loss by increasing the synthesis of ceramides in the skin barrier.

CETYL ALCOHOL

Extraction: fatty alcohol obtained from coconut, therefore it is natural harvested.

Benefits: it is used as emollient, emulsifier, thickener and conductor for other ingredients in cosmetic solutions. It also works to allow the product more coverage and to be easily spread and blended into skin. 

ARGININE

Extraction: arginine is an amino acid obtained by biofermentation. It is one of the main components of hair keratin. Acts as a source of nitrogen for proper cell function, generating a vasodilator effect that improves blood circulation.

Benefits: used in many formulas as a natural stabiliser, much safer than conventional alkaline agents, it is known for its effectiveness in fighting hair loss. It is biodegradable.

BEHENYL ALCOHOL

Sourcing: Vegan ingredient of vegetable origin, mainly vegetable oils.

Benefits: Has the properties of an emulsifier, helping to keep the water and oil phases of the formula blended together. It also acts as an emollient, preventing moisture from evaporating from the surface of the skin, and providing a pleasant texture to the skin when the product is applied.

GLYCERYL BEHENATE

Extraction: Glyceryl Behenate is a plant-derived ester derived from glycerin and behenic acid.

Benefits: It is used in food, pharmacy and cosmetics for its capacity to improve viscosity in emulsions. It is a non-comedogenic ingredient, which does not provide greasy sensation nor obstructs the pores of the skin.

MALTODEXTRINA

Obtainment: His sugar is obtained from starch, derived from rice, corn or potato.

Benefits: It has the ability to stabilise cosmetic formulations as well as act as a link between different ingredients. It also acts as a suspension forming agent and film former.

CAPRYLIC / CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE

Extraction: derived from Coconut Oil and Glycerin, is considered an excellent emollient and skin repairing agent. It is a mix of fatty acids. It is not considered a sensitizing agent.

Benefits: it repairs the surface of the skin and prevents the loss of moisture and also works to thicken skin. They are neutral oils that do not irritate the skin, are easy to apply and are quickly absorbed.

NATURAL PHOENIX AURA WELL-AGEING PERFUM

This natural perfume contains essential oils of tropical fruits such as guava, papaya and pomegranate together with rose and violet. It has floral aromatic benefits with exotic notes, which give a revitalising and relaxing sensation to the skin.

RIBOSA

Sourcing: Obtained by biotechnological process from corn seeds.

Benefits:  Ribose is a fundamental component of the ATP (cellular energy) structure. Supplying the skin with ribose stimulates new ATP synthesis to replenish cellular energy reserves and improve its functioning. Its supply reduces wrinkles, increases and strengthens the skin's firmness and elasticity.

LEVULINIC ACID

Extraction: Levulinic Acid is a 100% natural preservative obtained from the degradation of cellulose.

Benefits: it is a mild preservative that control colonies of microorganisms without altering the integrity, colour or pH of the other ingredients included in the product. It has very good antibacterial properties.

XYLITOL

Extraction: this natural sweetener is extracted from the bark of the birch tree.

Benefits: Xylitol is not fermentable by oral bacteria. This ingredient maintains a neutral oral pH which helps prevent cavities from forming and the erosion of enamel. Cavities are formed when oral bacteria consume sugars present in the mouth and generate acids, which erode tooth enamel.

LECITHIN

Extraction: Lecithin is a natural mixture of diglycerides and phosphoric acid that is obtained from some seeds such as soybeans. Its appearance varies from a waxy mass to a thick liquid.

Benefits: lecithin and hydrogenated lecithin improve the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring elasticity. They increase water retention, thereby reducing loss of hydration. These ingredients also help form non-ionic emulsions by reducing the substances’ surface tension.

MANNITOL

Sourcing: Natural, extracted from trees, seaweed or mushrooms.

Benefits: Moisturises, strengthens the skin barrier and regulates scalp desquamation.

AVOCADO EXTRACT

Sourcing: it is obtained by cold pressing the avocado pulp. The fruit grows in tropical areas of America and Asia.

Benefits: Rich in vitamin A and unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and palmitoleic acid. Promotes cell regeneration, increases hydration of the face and also helps improve the absorption of the other ingredients.

XANTHAN GUM

Extraction: natural polysaccharide of high natural weight derived from the fermentation of carbohydrates such as glucose or corn syrup.

Benefits: it is used as a binder, emulsion stabilizer and skin conditioning agent in a wide variety of cosmetics and personal care products. 1% of xanthan gum is used for cosmetic formulations.

FOSFATIDILCOLINA

Sourcing: vegetable, obtained from soya pods.

Benefits: lipids, very similar to those in the skin's lipid barrier, helps skin regeneration.

SODIUM GLUCONATE

Extraction: Manufactured by fermentation of glucose syrup derived from the corn renewable raw material.

Benefits: It is a chelating agent that inactivates metal ions to prevent deterioration of cosmetic products

SUNFLOWER SEED OIL

Extraction: sunflower oil is obtained from Helianthus Annus sunflower seeds.

Benefits: rich in omega-6 and vitamin E, sunflower seed oil is used in the cosmetics industry as skin repairing agent. Prevents skin dehydration and has soothing, nourishing and antibacterial properties. It is perfect for treating all skin types including: dry, normal, oily and acne prone skin.

XANTHOPHILA

Sourcing: It is obtained by biofermentation from Halobacterium salinarum. This microorganism is not genetically modified, and allows for a quality product with a low impact on the environmental footprint. In cosmetics, this ingredient is very interesting because it is the most versatile source of natural and vegan carotenoids.

Benefits: Natural active ingredient, which provides the antioxidant power of carotenoids, promoting DNA and cell membrane protection against oxidation by free radicals. They also have the benefits of carotenoids in protecting against blue light.

LANGSAT ACTIVE

Sourcing: A natural and vegan active ingredient, it is an extract from the leaves of the Vietnamese Langsat tree. 

Benefits: Reduces the overproduction of melanin by melanocytes, thus helping to reduce the size of pigmented spots and even out the tone.

TREHALOSE

Extraction: trehalose is a sugar synthesized by plants, bacteria and fungi and is used in personal care products to provide moisture and fragrance.

Benefits: allows the skin to retain moisture and to stay healthy and hydrated. It is renowned as a rehydrating agent for its potent antioxidant properties.

HYALURONIC ACID

Extraction: organic hyaluronic acid of vegetable origin. It is found naturally in the skin so the application of this acid will not irritate or damage it.

Benefits: increases skin’s hydration and provides firmness and elasticity. Penetrates skin deep down with its anti-aging action.

CAESALPINA SPINOSA GUM

Extraction: 100% vegetable material derived from the endosperm of the Caesalpinia spinosa plant, native to Peru.

Benefits: works as a thickening agent, emulsion stabilizer and texturizer in cosmetic products.

P-ANISIC ACID

Obtainment: This ingredient is found naturally in the anise, an herb of the Apiaceae family native to South-West Asia and the eastern Mediterranean basin, and therefore, it is 100% plant-based.

Benefits: It is an innovative natural preservative, acts as a flavouring agent, preservative and and masks unpleasant odours.

POTASSIUM SORBATE

Extraction: is the potassium salt of sorbic acid that occurs naturally in mountain berries (Sorbus aucuparia).

Benefits: acts as a preservative, protecting cosmetics from deterioration by preventing or delaying the growth and reproduction of microorganisms. This compound is easily metabolized by the body and produces water and CO2, therefore it is completely harmless.

SODIUM BENZOATE

Extraction: benzoic acid salt that is naturally found in blueberries, prunes, cinnamon and apple.

Benefits: it is used as a cosmetic preservative to prevent the growth and proliferation of fungi and bacteria in the products. 

KANGAROO PAW FLOWER

Sourcing: Active ingredient extracted from a beautiful red flower, of Australian origin, named Kangaroo Paw.

Benefits: Improves the architecture of the dermis by increasing the synthesis of its main structural proteins, elastin and collagen. This results in visible skin rejuvenation such as reduction of wrinkles and sagging skin.

SIBERIAN PINE SEED EXTRACT

Sourcing: Of natural origin, this ingredient is extracted from the seeds of the Siberian Pine tree, very common in Canada

Benefits: Excellent moisturiser for skin and hair. It has a softening effect, allowing the active ingredients to spread perfectly on the skin, as well as acting as a natural conditioner.

GLUCOSE

Extraction: it is a natural polysaccharide that is obtained from different plant species.

Benefits: this polysaccharide acts as a prebiotic in the formulation of the deodorant. It prevents body odour causing bacteria (Staphylococcus epidirmidis and Corynebacterium xerosis) from adhering to the skin and spreading around the armpit.

DECYL GLUCOSIDE

Extraction: natural non-ionic surfactant derived from coconut oil and glucose.

Benefits: used in the formulation of personal hygiene products in which abundant foam is desired. It also works as a mild cleanser and maintains skin’s natural pH balance. It is 100% biodegradable, making it environmentally friendly and suitable for all skin types.

VITAMIN E

Extraction: tocopherol or vitamin E, is naturally found in vegetable fats and oils, cereals, nuts and green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics for its antioxidant properties and also acts as a skin conditioning agent. Reduces the appearance of stretch marks, helps improve skin tone, moisturizes and helps keep skin firm. For hair care, Holy Basil helps improve the blood circulation in the scalp which stimulates hair growth and helps to condition hair and provide shine.

ASCORBYL PALMITATE

Extraction: the fat-soluble form of vitamin C. It is an ester formed by ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and palmitic acid. It is a fatty acid obtained from vegetable fats and oils.

Benefits: it has excellent antioxidant and free radical eliminating properties which work to protect the skin from oxidative processes. It is used to slow down skin aging processes since it promotes the synthesis of collagen and ceramides in the skin.

RHODELLA VIOLACEA

Sourcing: It is an extract of marine red algae that is cultivated in a photobioreactor.

Benefits: Immediately moisturises, softens and firms the skin. It also protects against external aggressions to which the skin is exposed to, by increasing the skin's own physical, antimicrobial and antioxidant defences.

SIBERIAN GINSENG ROOT EXTRACT

Sourcing: Root extract of Siberian ginseng, a dicotyledonous plant of the araliaceae family. Native to the mountains and forests of Russia and Northeast Asia.

Benefits: Well-ageing and antioxidant properties. Increases dermal density and the skin's elasticity.

MATSUTAKE

Sourcing: Vegetable extract of the Matsutake mushroom, a mycorrhizal fungus that grows in Asia, Europe and North America. This mushroom is in great demand in Japan, where it is highly prized as a delicacy.

Benefits: Rich in polysaccharides, including β-glucan. This extract provides antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties to the skin. Promotes wrinkle reduction by decreasing the degradation of the extracellular matrix. 

SODIUM CHLORIDE

Extraction: sodium chloride is obtained from the mineral halite and is commonly known as table salt. It is a mineral essential for all biological organisms and is found in most tissues and body fluids.

Benefits: it is used to give flavour and to thicken the aqueous portion of beauty care products.

CITRIC ACID

Extraction: citric acid is a weak organic acid found in fruits such as lemons and oranges. Lemon juice contains approximately 5-8% citric acid.

Benefits: citric acid and its salts: Diammonium, Potassium and Sodium help to preserve cosmetics since they are metal chelating agents. Citric acid and its salts are also added to cosmetics to help regulate the acid / base levels. Functions as a powerful antioxidant and helps to regulate and maintain skin’s hydration and elasticity.

LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT VEGAN HYALURONIC ACID

Extraction: the low molecular weight hyaluronic acid has plant-derived origins and is obtained by a biotechnological process. It is naturally found in the dermis of the skin, so the application of this acid on our skin will not irritate or damage it.

Benefits: works on the tight joints between cells. It protects the synthesis of collagen and elastin, and stimulates the vascularisation process to increase the supply of nutrients and oxygen to cells. This is reflected in a noticeable increase in the firmness of the skin, giving it a youthful and healthy appearance.

YELLOW DAFFODIL

Sourcing: Natural origin, extract from the bulb of the yellow daffodil, Narcissus tazetta. Native to the Mediterranean region. Natural and environmentally friendly extraction.

SEA SALT

Sourcing: Of natural origin, obtained by the evaporation of seawater.

Benefits: In cosmetics it has different applications, from hair products to boost hair volume. It also has benefits as an anti-acne product for the face. It also has anti-cellulite properties for the body.

RUBY RED

Obtainment: It is extracted from the root of the Alkanna Tinctoria (commonly known as a dyer's alkanet), native to the Mediterranean basin.

Benefits: This extract is used as a vegan alternative to synthetic pigments or animal pigments.

SODIUM HYDROXIDE

Extraction: It is a solid white substance with an alkaline pH, which is obtained from common salt (Sodium Chloride)

Benefits: It's pH regulator used to raise acidic pH to a level suitable for the skin. Higher (alkaline) or lower (acidic) pH, will damage the skin's protective mechanism by exposing it to harmful bacteria and the environment. Therefore, maintaining the pH of a product is very important for skin health.

ERGOTIONINE

Sourcing: Of vegetable origin, ergothioneine is extracted from mushrooms, the richest in this amino acid being the Porcini, or white mushroom.

Benefits: An amino acid that provides high antioxidant power, prevents oxidation and also combats free radicals in the body, not only in cell membranes, but also has the ability to act in the mitochondria, the organelle where the cellular energy  needed for all the body's biochemical reactions is produced. As a result, it delays skin ageing and the appearance of wrinkles.
