WATER

Extraction:  water is an element present in most cosmetic products and is the most important raw material. In the cosmetics industry, purified water is used in a process to eliminate any solid particle that may contain water in order to achieve a higher degree of purity and quality.

Benefits: water helps to cleanse the body. Hydrates and improves the effect of other active ingredients, provides softness and delays premature aging of the skin.

ERYTHRITOL

Sourcing: It is produced by microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate. 

Benefits: Erythritol has a conditioning action that improves hair combability. It improves the surface structure of the hair by restoring the cells of the cuticle tiles back into position and providing smoothness to the hair.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. It also prevents the accumulation of fat and improves the appearance of hair. Vegetable glycerin can be used as a diluent and as an alcohol substitute when preparing herbal extracts.

COCO GLUCOSIDE

Extraction: non-ionic surfactant and co-surfactant of vegetable origin, biodegradable and very suitable for use in shampoos and shower gels. It is obtained from renewable raw materials such as coconut oil and the sugar found in fruits.

Benefits: it reduces the potential for irritation caused by surfactants and improves hair styling, in addition to softening it.

DECYL GLUCOSIDE

Extraction: natural non-ionic surfactant derived from coconut oil and glucose.

Benefits: used in the formulation of personal hygiene products in which abundant foam is desired. It also works as a mild cleanser and maintains skin’s natural pH balance. It is 100% biodegradable, making it environmentally friendly and suitable for all skin types.

CAPRYLYL / CAPRYL GLUCOSIDE

Extraction: solubilizer and non-ionic surfactant obtained from raw vegetable materials such as coconut.

Benefits: it is a mild ingredient that allows cosmetics products to obtain the desired foamy effect. It acts as a surfactant by helping water mix with oil and remove dirt.

DISODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE

Extraction: It is obtained from coconut oil and fermented sugar. This surfactant is one of the most gentle and respectful to the skin so it is tolerated by all types of skins.

Benefits: In addition to being an excellent cleaner and foam generator, it is also eco-friendly.

BETAINA

Sourcing : Derived from sugar beet roots.

Benefits: It is a mild surfactant. Provides immediate and long-term hydration and moisturising. Manages the skin's water balance and strengthens the skin barrier. Protects the skin barrier from surfactants.

LACTIC ACID

Extraction: lactic acid is used to balance the pH of cosmetic products.

Benefits: this ingredient allows cosmetics to be milder for skin and hair.

PCA GLYCERYL OLEATE

Extraction: this ester is obtained from the saponification (transformation of a fatty body into soap) and esterification of vegetable oils and sugars of natural origin.

Benefits: excellent conditioner used in hair care products given its ability to improve wet styling and reduce frizz. This ingredient adheres to the cuticles and renews the lipid layer of the hair.

PROPANEDIOL

Extraction: 100% natural ingredient obtained from sugarcane and approved by Ecocert. It is biodegradable, making it the perfect natural alternative to petroleum glycols.

Benefits: it is used in cosmetics as a moisturizing agent, solvent and emollient. Its sensory properties help reduce skin irritations. They also control viscosity.

GLYCERYL OLEATE

Extraction: natural monoester derived from glycerol and oleic acid. Creates water-oil emulsions where water is the most abundant compound, but it can also be used as a co-emulsifier and thickener for formulations where the composition is mostly oil.

Benefits: it is used as an emulsifier and non-ionic co-surfactant in various skin and hair care products. Leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

Extraction: this essential oil is obtained from the lemon, an acidic citrus fruit high in vitamins, especially in vitamin C.

Benefits: purifies oily skin, opens clogged pores and improves acne-prone skin. Like many scented oils, lemon oil has antioxidant and calming properties which benefit the skin. It also provides benefits on the hair: it increases capillary resistance prevents the scalp from over drying and treats dandruff.

BAIKAL SKULLCAP ROOT EXTRACT

Extraction: it is extracted from the root of the Scutellaria Baicalensis, a plant from the Lamiaceae family that is part of the 50 essential herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Benefits: several bioactive compunds, such as flavonoids, are extarcted from its root. They have important anti-inflammatiry and antieczematous properties, in addition to numerous pharmacological properties.

BURDOCK

Extraction: it is a biannual plant of red thorny flowers that is commonly found in Europe. The leaves, roots and seeds of the plant are used, both in natural medicine and in cosmetics.

Benefits: burdock’s purifying and detoxifying properties make it great for use as a skin treatment for conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, eczema, herpes and eruptive skin diseases. It works as a decongestant and anti-inflammatory, heals damaged skin and helps prevent hair loss. It also has multiple other properties. It’s an antacid, anti-bacterial cleanser, treats oily skin, cleanses the skin and is good for hair regeneration.

ARNICA FLOWER EXTRACT

Extraction: phanerogamous herb of the asteraceae family originally from central and southern Europe. It is quite widespread.

Benefits: softens, hydrates and soothes damaged skin. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Its antimicrobial property fights skin irritations. It also stimulates blood circulation.

CALENDULA

Extraction: this extract is obtained from the calendula flower, an aromatic plant form the Asteraceas family.

Benefits: calendula is a powerful agent used to treat scars and stretchmarks. It stimulates the body’s natural healing action, regenerates damaged skin and allows the body to produce more collagen (vital to skin recovery). It also works as a nourishing moisturizer and has anti-inflammatory, soothing and protective properties.

CAMOMILE Eco

WATERCRESS

Extraction: the cress is a perennial plant, commonly found in streams, torrents and swamps. It is native to Europe and Central Asia, although it is now widespread. It is considered one of the oldest vegetables consumed by humans.

Benefits: it stands out for its content in minerals and vitamins. Its main active ingredient is a glucoside, an effective diuretic and also contributes to the prevention of hair loss. Its juice is a great ally for oily skin, stimulating the scalp and fighting seborrheic dermatitis.

SCOTS PINE BUD EXTRACT

Extraction: this extract is obtained from the buds of the scots pine, arboreal species of the family Pinaceae. It is originally from Eurasia and is commonly used in pharmacology.

Benefits: contains flavonoids, essential oils and monoterpene alcohols. It tones and refreshes the skin, balancing the pH and stimulating the cellular renovation. Also, it helps to fight acne and dandruff, improving microcirculation.

ROSEMARY Eco

Extraction: rosemary is an aromatic, woody, evergreen shrub with many small branches. It can grow up to 2 meters in height. It grows on all types of soils, preferably dry, somewhat sandy and permeable soils. Its extract is obtained from the rosemary leaves via a maceration process.

Benefits: this rosemary extract provides significant anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties thanks to its high concentration of rosmarinic acid, which is used to treat sensitive and irritated skin. SALVIA OFFICINALIS

Extraction: sage leaf extract is widely used in cosmetics. It is known for its aroma and its great refreshing and calming effect.

Benefits: composed of pentacyclic triterpenes, flavonoids, rosmarinic acid and carnosol. It has great antiseptic and antioxidant properties. It is ideal for mature and devitalized skin, as well as for the treatment of various affections of the hair and scalp.

Extraction: nasturtium is a plant native to America. It grows near humid areas and is prone to spread.

SOYBEAN GERM EXTRACT

Extraction: soy is an herbaceous plant of the leguminous family whose seeds have a great nutritional value. Its extract is highly valued in cosmetics for its properties.

Benefits: it has moisturising, regenerating, protective and softening properties. Soy is also a rich source of protein and other essential nutrients such as potassium or zinc. It is a powerful antioxidant agent due to its isoflavone content.

WHEAT GERM EXTRACT

Extraction: it is obtained from the wheat germ, that belongs to the family of grasses, providing vitamin E.

INDIAN HORSE-CHESTNUT

Extraction: The horse chestnut is a tree that belongs to the Sapindáceas family an d is native to Asia. It is very rich in molecules such as saponins and flavonoids and also contains tannins, starch and proteins. Its varied composition allows for a wide array of benefits. It is ideal for the most sensitive skins.

Benefits: It is used to treat vascular problems. As a tonic, Indian horse-chestnut helps to unblock blood vessels and its the Aescin found in the horse-chestnut has anti-inflammatory properties. These properties make it a perfect ingredient to strengthen capillary circulation. It is also credited with healing, antioxidant and hemostatic properties (it is capable of restricting hemorrhages).

SODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE

Extraction: sodium salt of cocoyl-glutamic acid. This natural ingredient is extracted directly from coconut oil.

Benefits: surfactant and cleaning agent.

CAESALPINA SPINOSA GUM

Extraction: 100% vegetable material derived from the endosperm of the Caesalpinia spinosa plant, native to Peru.

Benefits: works as a thickening agent, emulsion stabilizer and texturizer in cosmetic products.

CITRIC ACID

Extraction: citric acid is a weak organic acid found in fruits such as lemons and oranges. Lemon juice contains approximately 5-8% citric acid.

GUAR HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE

Extraction: Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is a derivative of guar seeds. It is a type of galactomannan, a polysaccharide, which forms a viscous gel called guar gum when mixed with cold water.  

Benefits: Often used as an antistatic and conditioning agent for hair or skin; it also increases the viscosity of cosmetics.

ARGININE

Extraction: arginine is an amino acid obtained by biofermentation. It is one of the main components of hair keratin. Acts as a source of nitrogen for proper cell function, generating a vasodilator effect that improves blood circulation.

Benefits: used in many formulas as a natural stabiliser, much safer than conventional alkaline agents, it is known for its effectiveness in fighting hair loss. It is biodegradable.

TARTARIC ACID

Extraction: it is a natural product from the by-products of the grape.   

Benefits: Tartaric acid and its salts are used as pH adjusters in cosmetics and personal care products.

GLUCONIC ACID

Extraction: natural acid obtained by biofermentation from glucose.  

Benefits: It is used as a chelating agent in cosmetic formulations.

GLUCONOLACTONE

Extraction: gluconic acid ester obtained via bio-fermentation.

Benefits: a composed of multiple hydroxyl groups that attract water, leading to increased skin hydration.  In other words, it acts as a humectant.

VITAMIN E

Extraction: tocopherol or vitamin E, is naturally found in vegetable fats and oils, cereals, nuts and green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Extraction: oily liquid derived from vegetable oils and citric acid.

Extraction: Manufactured by fermentation of glucose syrup derived from the corn renewable raw material.

POTASSIUM SORBATE

Extraction: is the potassium salt of sorbic acid that occurs naturally in mountain berries (Sorbus aucuparia).

Benefits: acts as a preservative, protecting cosmetics from deterioration by preventing or delaying the growth and reproduction of microorganisms. This compound is easily metabolized by the body and produces water and CO2, therefore it is completely harmless.

ARACHIDYL/BEHENYL BETAINATE ESYLATE

Extraction: It is plant-based source such as corn.  

Benefits: It is used in cosmetics as an emulsifier. It is also used as a thickener, to increase the foamability of a product or to improve foam stability. It softens the skin, and it leaves a non-greasy feeling after application."

UNDECANE

Extraction: it is derived from natural mineral sources.  

Benefits: forms a light, fresh and fast spreading emollient derived from 100% renewable raw materials. A sustainably sourced alternative to silicone, it helps products apply easily, absorb quickly and leave a soft and dry feeling on the skin.

SODIUM LACTATE

Extraction: it is produced by fermentation of a sugar source, such as corn or beetroot.  

Benefits: it is a humectant; it hydrates the skin by keeping water in the deepest layers of the skin. Helps prevent water loss and supplies a feeling of elasticity. It works as a keratolytic agent, which means it helps remove dead cells from the skin's surface, contributing to its overall healthy functions and helping to improve skin problems such as keratosis pilaris, rough texture, and dry and dull skin.

TRIOLEIN

Extraction: Triolein, also known as triolein, is a triglyceride of oleic acid and represents 4-30% of olive oil. It is also found in almond oil.

Benefits: moisturising agent, it is also used as a controlling agent of the product's viscosity.

KAOLIN

Extraction: kaolin is a clay mineral that can be white, beige or pink, depending on where it is extracted.

Benefits: it allows to give consistency to a product. It has sebum regulating properties, being able to absorb skin impurities. Its detoxifying effect and its antiseptic capacity make it ideal to be introduced into products to purify skin.

SIBYBUM MARIANUM ETHYL ESTER

Extraction: Milk thistle oil. An herbaceous plant that grows in dry, sunny soils.

HYDROGENATED OILVE OIL

Extraction: obtained from the hydrogenation of olive oil (Olea Europaea Fruit Oil). It has a solid or semi-solid state, which makes it very suitable for some cosmetic applications.
