Body Oil for Stretch Marks and Scars

ALMOND OIL

Extraction: almond oil is composed of monounsaturated fats (healthy fats found in plant foods), oleic acid and linoleic acids (such as Omega 3 and 6). It is almost transparent in color with yellow or golden hues and is almost odourless.

Benefits: It acts as a stimulant for the production of collagen and elastin, providing the tissues with firmness and elasticity. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and stretchmarks and sweet almond oil is even recommended in various anti-cellulite treatments. Its anti-inflammatory, reparative and healing properties protect the skin’s natural barrier, slows down the ageing process and protects against UV rays  with Vitamin E.

SUNFLOWER SEED OIL

Extraction: sunflower oil is obtained from Helianthus Annus sunflower seeds.

Benefits: rich in omega-6 and vitamin E, sunflower seed oil is used in the cosmetics industry as skin repairing agent. Prevents skin dehydration and has soothing, nourishing and antibacterial properties. It is perfect for treating all skin types including: dry, normal, oily and acne prone skin.

Extraction: cold-pressed from the macadamia nut. It is a vegetable oil rich in oleic acids, vitamin E and sterols (providing soothing and calming actions). Theese nuts are rich in OMEGA-7 fats.

Benefits: it makes your hair look younger without plugging the pores, similar to the sebacious fats produced by the human body itself. It is perfect to regenerate split ends and acts as an anti-frizz. Hydrates, repairs and strengthens the hair avoiding hair loss.

Extraction: chia seeds are a herbaceous plant belonging to the mint family. Chia seed oil is obtained by cold pressing the chia seeds.

Benefits: Chia seeds are one of the best known superfoods. Its oil contains up to 60% concentration of Omega 3 and has shown to have remarkable benefits for sensitive skin.

Extraction: derived from Coconut Oil and Glycerin, is considered an excellent emollient and skin repairing agent. It is a mix of fatty acids. It is not considered a sensitizing agent.

Benefits: it repairs the surface of the skin and prevents the loss of moisture and also works to thicken skin. They are neutral oils that do not irritate the skin, are easy to apply and are quickly absorbed.

OLIVE OIL

Extraction: olive oil is extracted by cold pressing olives, small green or black fruits commonly cultivated in Mediterranean climates.

Benefits: one of the most well known Mediterranean oils, olive oil is known for its culinary benefits as well as for its use in skin care. This reparative oil contains a high concentration of natural fatty acids that work to combat skin dryness. It is also rich in vitamins E and K.

POPPYSEED OIL

Extraction: poppyseed oil is extracted from the virgin pressing the seeds of the poppy, an angiosperm plant.

Benefits: poppyseed oil has nourishing, moisturizing and restructuring properties. It is exceptionally rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, among which is linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that is not synthesized by the body and is involved in regulating the body’s hydration and restructuring the epidermis. It also contains B vitamins and is rich in flavonoids, powerful antioxidants that provide protection against free radicals.

Extraction: A natural perfume made from fruits and citrus, with a focus on grapefruit, combined with the tart sweetness of pomegranate, alongside pineapple and lavender.

Benefits: Provides a refreshing and revitalizing aroma. This natural perfume is used in the Golden Radiance Body Oil.

HAZELNUT OIL

Extraction: it is obtained by extracting the virgin oil of cold pressed hazelnuts.

Benefits: hazelnut oil helps skin maintain elasticity and firmness thanks to its astringent effects. It is also an excellent moisturizer, antioxidant and skin regenerating agent. It contains various nutrients that are beneficial to the skin and its light texture does not leave any greasy residue making it suitable for sensitive skin.

BABASSU OIL

Extraction: the Babassu palm is an Amazonian species that can reach up to 20 meters in height. This vegetable oil is extracted from the seeds of the babassu palm. The oil is a powerful antioxidant and natural firming agent with properties similar to those of coconut oil.

Benefits: it is a non-greasy butter that is absorbs quickly into skin and has excellent smoothing and moisturizing properties. Traditionally used in Brazil to treat skin irritations, Babassu oil effectively treats dry, itchy, inflamed and eczema prone skin. It also helps moisturize dry skin and balance the moisture of oily skin without leaving shine residue so it is suitable for all skin types.

JOJOBA OIL

Extraction: jojoba oil is extracted from the jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) nut (seed). Actually, it functions more like a wax that is liquid at room temperature than an oil. 96% of its composition consists of ceramides.

Benefits: highly moisturizing and nourishing. Ceramides cover the cells of the epidermis and to help regulate and intensify hydration. They are very similar to human skin, which is why they are absorbed and act quickly and are not oily to the touch. Jojoba oil also contains linoleic acid which is a very effective at restructuring and regenerating natural skin. Its vitamin E content also helps to rejuvenate skin and provides defence against free radicals. In addition, it is ideal for oily and acne-prone skin because it absorbs accumulated sebum and helps minimise breakouts. 

ROSEHIP OIL

Extraction: this vegetable oil is extracted from the seeds of a shrub called Rosa moschata, cultivated in Chile and Argentina.

Benefits: it is one of the oils essential in any skin care regimen. It has the capacity to effectively treat scars, stretch marks and skin flaccidity. This is due to its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, containing up to 49% linoleic acid and 34% linolenic acid which are directly related to the synthesis of collagen. It is also rich in vitamins E and K.

Extraction: this vegetable oil is obtained from the seeds of the marula tree, a wild species native to southern Africa.

Benefits: This oil, known as the "African miracle", moisturizes, nourishes, revitalizes and provides antioxidants (it has 16% more antioxidants than other oils such as argan). It is especially suitable for dry and damaged skin. It is rich in vitamin C, strengthens the lipid barrier of the skin and protects it from harmful environmental damage.

Extraction: it is obtained directly from the seeds of soybeans, a legume rich in proteins with great energetic and nutritional value. This oil high in vitamins (A, B6, B12 and K), calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Benefits: it is high in antioxidants and has moisturizing and firming properties. It also works to stimulate cell regeneration and sometimes works as a surfactant. It easily penetrates deep into skin to stimulate the synthesis of collagen, elastin and other proteins that help keep skin firm.

Extraction: this extract is obtained from the citrus fruit of bergamot (C. bergamia). It is extracted from the fruit’s oil glands found on the surface of the fruit.

Benefits: in cosmetics, bergamot essential oil is used mainly for its refreshing aroma and is ideal for use in refreshing and invigorating baths. It has many therapeutic properties and works as a deodorizing, tranquilizing, and healing agent. It is especially beneficial for treating oily and acne prone skin. It is also a good natural remedy to treat oily scalp and dandruff.

Extraction: extracted from the freshwater microalga Haematococcus pluvialis. It is the primary food source for flamingos, salmon and prawns, hence their characteristic reddish color.

Benefits: it is the most powerful antioxidant that exists in nature. It has antioxidant power 1,000 times stronger than that of Coenzyme Q10 and 65 times stronger than Vitamin C. This carotenoid is used for repairing skin damage and to prevent premature ageing. It is a natural anti-inflammatory, promotes hydration and protects against solar radiation.

Extraction: safflower is a herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family. The oil obtained from the cold pressing of its seeds is used as food and natural colouring.

Benefits: it contains a high concentration of linoleic acid and vitamin K, which help to treat irritated or tired skin. It is a dry oil, which penetrates quickly into the skin, hydrating it without greasing it.

Extraction: tocopherol or vitamin E, is naturally found in vegetable fats and oils, cereals, nuts and green and yellow leafy vegetables.
