WATER

Extraction:  water is an element present in most cosmetic products and is the most important raw material. In the cosmetics industry, purified water is used in a process to eliminate any solid particle that may contain water in order to achieve a higher degree of purity and quality.

Benefits: water helps to cleanse the body. Hydrates and improves the effect of other active ingredients, provides softness and delays premature aging of the skin.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. CHICORY

Extraction: Chicory or endive is a herbaceous plant of the asteraceous family, originally from Africa, Asia and Europe. It is used in gastronomy, infusions, salads. Since the Middle Ages it has been used in medicine to treat diseases of the digestive system and liver.

Benefits: the oligosaccharides obtained from chicory root act by forming a film on the surface of the skin, smoothing it out and eliminating expression lines, with a lifting effect. While they rejuvenate the skin, they also give it radiance.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL

Extraction: natural pentylene glycol is obtained from renewable plant-based sources such as sugar cane or maize.

Benefits: commonly used in moisturising creams and lotions for its hydrating properties, which help retain moisture in the skin. It also has antibacterial and preservative effects, helping other active ingredients act better on the skin.

HEMISQUALANE

Extraction: it's obtained from sugar cane, a minority fraction rich in hemisqualane is extracted from the fermentation process of sugar for food use. It is an alternative to petrochemical hydrocarbons and also has better sensory characteristics. 

Benefits: improves spreadability, application and sensoriality of products without clogging the skin.

HYDROLYSED COLLAGEN

Obtention: Biotechnological process, from a collagen DNA sequence, copies of the human collagen protein are synthesised. Subsequently, this collagen is hydrolysed in order to have a final product with a smaller molecular weight. Which allows the active ingredient to better penetrate the dermis. 

Benefits: Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, whose main function is to create and maintain the structures that generate firmness to the skin. The active ingredient Hydrolysed Collagen has a DNA sequence identical to that of the human COL1A2 gene.

AMINOBUTRYC ACID

Extraction: highly-pure gamma-aminobutyric acid is obtained by microbiological fermentation, using ECOCERT certified technologies.

Benefits: this non-protein amino acid participates in many regulatory processes of the organism of plants and animals. When it decrease due to age or psychological pressure, it generates a tendency to negative emotions, which translates in loss of elasticity of skin. PULLULAN

Extraction: natural polysaccharide produced by the fungus Aureobasidium.

Obtention: This ingredient is obtained from jojoba. It is obtained naturally and sustainably from the seed oil of this plant.

SODIUM PHYTATE

Extraction: sodium salt from phytic acid, a vegetable compound found in corn.

SUCCINOGLYCAN

Extraction: It is an acidic heteropolysaccharide soluble in water, and it is produced mainly by a large number of soil microbes, such as: Agrobacterium, Rhizobium and Pseudomonas.

Benefits: It offers good suspension properties, stabilising emulsion particles and preventing sedimentation. In addition, it adapts to all kinds of pH environments.

GLUCONOLACTONE

Extraction: gluconic acid ester obtained via bio-fermentation.

Benefits: a composed of multiple hydroxyl groups that attract water, leading to increased skin hydration.  In other words, it acts as a humectant.

XANTHAN GUM

Extraction: natural polysaccharide of high natural weight derived from the fermentation of carbohydrates such as glucose or corn syrup.

Benefits: it is used as a binder, emulsion stabilizer and skin conditioning agent in a wide variety of cosmetics and personal care products. 1% of xanthan gum is used for cosmetic formulations.

SOYBEAN OIL

Extraction: it is obtained directly from the seeds of soybeans, a legume rich in proteins with great energetic and nutritional value. This oil high in vitamins (A, B6, B12 and K), calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Benefits: it provides a lot of hydration and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.

GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE

Extraction: natural ester of vegetable origin of glycerin and caprylic acid.

Benefits: acts as an emulsion stabilizer and a moisturizing agent.

SQUALENE

Extraction: it is the hydrogenated version of squalene. It is an aliphatic triterpene extracted from rice bran, wheat germ and green olives. It has a 100% natural origin.

Benefits: it is a natural component of the skin and a good emollient and sebum restorer. It is used in regenerative treatments for dry skin. It has antioxidant properties and stimulates the immune system.

SEA SALT
