Origin: This mixture of fatty alcohols containing 12 to 16 carbon atoms in their chains is obtained from fatty plant sources.

Benefits: It is used as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener and carrier agent for other ingredients in cosmetic solutions. It also provides products with good extensibility.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

Extraction: it is harvested from plants (soy or coconut oil for example) by hydrolysis of fats and by fermenting sugars. Glycerol is found naturally in skin and is considered a self-healing compound.

Benefits: it is one of the many substances in the skin that helps maintain the outer barrier and prevents dryness and peeling. It leaves skin feeling nourished and works to treat acne. GLYCERYL STERATE CITRATE
