INCI: Micrococcus Lysate
How it was obtained: Micrococcus Lysate is obtained from the fermentation of Micrococcus, a micro-organism found in the sea breeze near the island of Tonga (Polynesia).
Benefits: A metabolomics study of the ferment has shown that it contains amino sugars, carbohydrates, lipids, oxyaromatic compounds, phytochemicals (flavonoids) and peptides. These compounds have recognised regenerative, antioxidant and structural properties.
